Qué es la restauración ecológica?

FEEDBACK DE VOLUNTARIOS

Even though I've traveled so much this past year, I cannot get my mind off of Peru.

Firstly, I have to say that you, Dante, Raul, Gorki, and Raquel were what made our visit to Manu and Cusco so special. You are all such genuine and caring people and I CANNOT stress this enough!!! Every time I think of any of you, I get such a warm tug at my heart. You all have such beautiful spirits and I can't wait to come back! I really don't think you know the impact you had on our trip. So, I want to tell you to keep doing what you are doing because you really make a big difference in people's lives!

I've attached a few photos that I thought you might enjoy.

I have uploaded my Peru pictures as well, so go through them and let me know which ones you would like me to send you Here is the link!

Even though I've traveled so much this past year, I cannot get my mind off of Peru.

Now, I also owe you an email about what I thought of the expedition and volunteering experience.

1. While we were in the jungle, we made many treks around the area. My first suggestion would be to come up with some sort of rating scale on how difficult the treks are so that we know what to expect. There was one instance when we were supposed to walk to a large waterfall, but eventually didn't make it. I knew it took about 3 hours each way, but I didn't think it would be so strenuous! I wasn't prepared at all and didn't bring my water bottle, which was a huge mistake. If Chris had not brought his water bottle, I think I may have passed out from dehydration. We all walked hours with our boots flooded with water and I came back with several popped blisters on my foot!

2. I think a requirement of some basic Spanish should maybe be added.

While I hate to prevent anyone from this AMAZING experience, I think knowing basic Spanish would help in the learning experience. That way, Raul can tell us what to do and teach us more about what goes on in the jungle. We were just lucky we had Raquel to help translate!

3. The 7-day expedition was a WONDERFUL addition to our volunteer experience. It really gave us a more holistic view of how life is in the jungle.

If I want to send a card to Raul and Gorki (is this how you spell their names?), is it okay if I send it to the hotel and maybe when you see them, you can give it to them? Even though I could barely communicate with Raul (thanks to my horrible Spanish skills), I vividly remember him. He has such a beautiful aura. Gorki as well; all of you do!

I cannot thank you enough for the memories you have given me. My experience there has really changed the way I view things now.

Love to everyone and take care!

Adrienne.
